The Siemens executive and his family identified as victims in a dead Hudson helicopter clash

A Siemens executive, a European technology company, his wife and young children were aboard the tourist helicopter who immersed himself in the Hudson River in New York City on Thursday, without leaving the survivors.
Agustin Escobar, his wife, Merce Camprubi Montal, and his children, 4, 5 and 11, have been identified as victims in the accident together with the 36 -year -old pilot, said ABC News Fuentes of the Law.

Escobar was appointed executive of the Siemens division in Spain and southwest Europe in 2022, according to a press release from the technological conglomerate.
The former head of the Spanish arm of Siemens, Miguel Ángel López, spoke very well of Escobar in the statement, saying that his work was “key” for the success of the company.
“With Agustín Escobar we have the best possible successor to lead, from now on, the company in Spain. In recent years his work has been key to Siemens’ success in the field of mobility and transport,” López said.
The identity of the pilot, who flew the rented New York helicopters Chopper, has not yet been launched.
The family was visiting New York City from Barcelona, Spain, two Spanish officials said to ABC News.
The National Transportation Board is investigating what led to the deadly incident.

The accident occurred at 3:17 pm on the coast of River Drive in Hoboken, New Jersey, just over 15 minutes after he left Wall St. Helipport, authorities said during a press conference Thursday. The helicopter arrived at the George Washington bridge before turning south and crashing, the authorities said.
“Our hearts are with the family and on board,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams, during the informative session.
The helicopter, identified by the Federal Aviation Administration as Bell 206 helicopter, was on his sixth flight of the day. It was found upside down in the 50 degree water when rescuers arrived at the scene, authorities said.
