The Pentagon has submitted a list of test employees to the Trump administration administration office, together with requests to exempt specific offices and people cut, multiple US officials said to ABC News.
According to one of the officials, considering the critical mission is a reason for the suggested exemption, but the state of veteran and military spouse is also taking into account, according to one of the officials.

The Department of Defense has around 878,000 civil employees in total, up to 60,000 of which are probable.
The process of identifying exemptions and cuts is underway, but it is not clear when employees could begin to receive a warning that are being triggered.
The Pentagon has referred to the requests for ABC News comments to the White House and OPM.
