Suspect arrested by link to palm springs fertility clinic explosion: sources

It is expected that the officials responsible for enforcing the law announce the arrest of an individual who allegedly linked to the main suspect in car bombardment outside a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California, last month, the sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
The suspect is expected to appear in a federal court in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon before California moves, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The main suspect in the case, the 25 -year -old man, Edward Bartkus, was found dead next to the detonated vehicle, said the deputy director in charge of the FBI field office last month.
“The subject had nihilist ideations, and this was an objective attack against the FIV facilities,” said Akil Davis last month, deputy director in charge of the FBI Los Angeles Field Office. “Do not be mistaken, we are dealing with this, as I said yesterday, as an intentional act of terrorism.”
At least four other people were injured in the explosion last month. The explosion led to a fire and the collapse of a nearby building.
The clinic, the American Palm Springs reproductive center, said the members of their staff, and their laboratory, including all eggs, embryos and reproductive materials, had no damage to the attack.

The damaged front of the fertility clinic of the American reproductive centers is after a bomb explosion on May 17, 2025, in Palm Springs, California. It is believed that a suspicious bomber has published a manifesto in social networks before the explosion. A person was confirmed dead on the scene, according to the police.

The clinic is currently seeing patients in a temporary location on the other side of the street from its main building.
“We are grateful to share those consultations, follow -ups and ultrasound continue with a minimum interruption, and our team has made an almost perfect transition. We are also in the process of finishing our new IVF laboratory and surgery, and we hope to resume those services very soon,” said the clinic in a statement on social networks last week.
