Kyiv hit by Russian attacks as the greatest exchange of prisoners begins

London – Russia launched a great attack of drones and missiles against kyiv on early Saturday, hurting six and damaging buildings throughout the city when the next stage of an exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia is established for today, with 390 people already released and up to 1000 inmates hope to be released in the coming days.
Russia fired 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 and 250 Shahed drones, mostly, mostly pointing to kyiv. The Ukraine Air Force said it knocked down six missiles and 245 drones.
At least 17 people were injured in Kyiv, with residential buildings and infrastructure damaged in multiple districts.
In other places, Russian bombing in the Kherson region during the last day killed two people and wounded 13, damaging the critical and social infrastructure, along with three apartment buildings and 12 private houses. The Russian forces also killed four and injured eight more in the Donetsk region on Friday.
In Russia, the attacks of Ukrainian unmanned airplanes during the night and Saturday morning wounded three people and went to industrial sites in Lipetsk and Tula regions. The Russian Ministry of Defense said 94 drones were demolished in six regions.
Meanwhile, Ukraine Defense Intelligence (Hur) says that Russian forces have executed more than 150 Ukrainian soldiers captured since the beginning of Russia’s large -scale invasion in February 2022, describing it as part of a campaign deliberate by Moscow’s leadership.
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, requested stronger sanctions against Russia, saying that Moscow’s goal is to prolong the war by rejecting the proposals of Alto El Fuego.
The exchange was prepared after bilateral peace conversations in Istanbul last week.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that once the exchange is completed, Russia will deliver a draft “that describes the conditions to achieve a sustainable, long -term and integral settlement agreement,” according to Russian state media.
Ukraine Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said on Friday that Ukraine is committed to a high fire and called the “first stage.”
“We achieved 1,000 for 1,000. After this, if it will be successful, as I said first are the exchanges, the second is the high fire,” he said.
Such exchanges have taken place in the invasion of 3 years of Russia, although the exchange, once completed, will be, with much, the largest to date. Prison exchanges are one of the few areas in which Moscow and kyiv have been able to reach an agreement during the conflict.
