A family from California, fearful of immigration raids, has decided to resume their lives and leave the United States, the family told ABC News.
The family of five of Chula Vista, California, was packed and departed from the United States on February 7 due to the recent raids throughout the country for the application of immigration and customs (ICE), the family said.
A family member, Anna, 29, said the family barely left her apartment before making the call to return to Mexico.

“We were constantly fear and anxiety,” Anna told San Diego Abc News affiliate KGTV. “He reached a point where we couldn’t eat or sleep.”
The fears of his family occur in the midst of the recent immigration repression of President Donald Trump, with thousands of deportations throughout the country since its inauguration. Anna told KGTV that her parents emigrated from Mexico to San Diego in 1997 as a child. Originally, his father had received an E-2 visa from a restaurant, but when the investors and shareholders of the establishment dismantled the group, Anna said that the family could not request a visa renewal. Therefore, the visa expired, and they had no sponsorship. However, the family decided to remain in the San Diego area.
Although Anna is a “dreamer”An undocumented immigrant who came to the United States as a girl who provides some protection, and her sisters, 20 and 17, were born in the United States and are citizens, said she is worried about her parents trapped in the midst of Raid ice.
“My greatest fear was to listen that my dad was collected in one of the ice raids or that my mother was collected because I was walking to the corner store,” Anna told KGTV.
Anna told her to exit that if her parents were entangled with ice in a possible raid, “they would not have a path to citizenship”

Anna told ABC News that she thought she could have a path to American citizenship “following the paperwork and doing everything well”, but the new changes under the Trump administration have made it a much more difficult path.
“Leaving a country that has been my country of origin during the last 30 years felt surreal,” Anna told ABC News. “I felt I had nowhere to turn.”
She said her “life was San Diego” and suddenly he left as “the carpet was taken from under your feet”, especially when she and her family have been citizens respectful of the law.
“We legally entered this country, we did the procedures, my parents paid thousands of dollars to stay in the United States,” said Anna. “If the laws were realistic so that people had a path to citizens, we would not have to go through this.”
Currently, the family is in a friend’s house near Ensenada, Mexico, but slowly trying to reach Mexico City, despite low funds and unemployed, according to Anna.
When asked how the future will look for his family, Anna said: “It’s like looking in soapy water,” he told KGTV. “There is something there, but you don’t know how you can do it.”
The family said it has maintained their complete identity hidden from security concerns.
